Join us at the ballpark and help out a good cause. Many of us use the Chickamauga National Park (The Battlefield) for recreational activities and this is an easy way to support their efforts. Buy some tickets for friends, family or relatives and spread the word to your church groups, youth teams or business associates. If you can't go on June 4, consider purchasing tickets and donating them to friends or family.
Support your local National Park by purchasing general admission tickets from the Friends of the Park. Tickets are $5 (face value) and proceeds from tickets sold prior to game day support the mission of the Friends of the Park. Tickets available at 648-5623 or www.chickchatt.org . (YOU MUST PURCHASE TICKETS THROUGH FRIENDS OF THE PARK TO SUPPORT THEIR EFFORTS)
Gates open at 6 pm and kids eat FREE (free hotdog & Coke for all children twelve & younger). There will be special give aways like Homer Hankies for 1st 2000, and the 1st pitch will be thrown out by the Chickaumauga Park Superintendent.
Discovery runs are to introduce you to a new trail each month. We will run the same run each Wed of the month, typically 4-8 mil es with shorter options. These runs should also help you discover yourself, whether you want to run faster or longer, new to trails or new to town. We hope that there will be someone you can meet here to help you reach your goals.
There are many distance options on Raccoon. However, with the Scenic City Marathon and 1/2 Marathon being less than a month away, there will be some that will be running the marathon loop, which is 12mis. This will give you the bulk of the race. The only missing link is the road section to start and the several mile finish. Click HERE for the map.

I'll be at the parking lot across from the dog park. There are bathrooms, and its the largest parking lot at Greenway.
We'll walk briskly for about an hour, then find a place to eat. We will be on pavement, gravel and trail so wear sturdy shoes. Smiles required.
Directions : Take Hwy. 153 North. At the 2nd traffic light past the Chickamauga Dam, turn right onto Hamill Road and go past the hospital. Follow Hamill Road to just over the North Chickamauga Creek bridge and turn to the right across from the entrance to Bethel Bible Village .
