Alchemy Spice Company anticipates great success under new owner

Alchemy Spice Company, founded in 2003 by Christian and Jessica Chevalier, was recently acquired by Warren Stanko of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Stanko, a long‐time employee of Alchemy, will continue the same high‐quality, artisan standards of production and will focus on supporting local businesses and community events, while expanding Alchemy’s reach throughout the southeast. “I am excited about taking Alchemy to a new level with the continued support of local businesses and consumers,” says Stanko.

Alchemy Spice Company produces artisan spice blends and food products. The spice blends— free of MSG, anti‐caking agents, and all chemical additives—are ground predominantly from whole ingredients. This method of production ensures the ultimate in freshness for consumers and provides a unique product within the specialty food industry. Stanko pledges to maintain these high standards of excellence and apply them in the creation of new spice products as
well. Christian Chevalier notes, “Warren has a strong commitment to quality as well as ideas for advancing the line in new and unique ways.” In addition to expanding the spice line, under Stanko’s direction, Alchemy Spice Company will add new products to its Folk Food brand, which currently includes three brownie mixes featuring organic, fair‐trade chocolate.

A seasoned supporter of farmer’s markets, Alchemy Spice Company will continue this tradition with participation in the Chattanooga Market as well as regional markets such as Knoxville’s Market Square and Franklin Farmers’ Market in Franklin, Tennessee. Additionally, Alchemy will be featured in the forthcoming Taste Buds Guide, issued by Chattanooga Buy Fresh Buy Local in cooperation with Crabtree Farms, which highlights artisans committed to supporting the local food shed. Just as importantly, Stanko renews Alchemy’s commit to quality customer service—
both to vendors and individuals—focusing on product excellence and a face‐to‐face style of business.

Alchemy products are sold in local retail outlets such as Chatt‐a‐Foodie, Greenlife Grocery, Mia Cucina, Niedlov’s Breadworks, Nutrition World, Pilates Center of Chattanooga, Plum Nelly, Pruett’s, Rembrandt’s, Simple Life Nutrition & Gifts, Umbra Essence Candles & Gifts, World Next Door, and weekly at markets.
